Discovering your voice.
As an artist starting out one of the hardest things is to develop a style, one that people will recognize as 'you'. I struggled with this for years, not really feeling as if I had a defined style.
Recently I was showing someone the body of work I had done over many years. This person was amused and told me that they could take my work and make a progression of what was made early on, and what work was more recent. I found this fascinating, as I hadn't noticed this.
Sure enough they were spot on, tracing the creative path I had followed over the years. My voice had become evident, and with it my latest passions.
